About Reuben Liburd

 

Reuben Liburd is a British actor and a fresh face born in Greenwich, London.

 

From a young age Reuben fell in love with acting and took up Saturday acting classes at the Italia Conti in London Barbican and participated in plays such as Peter pan, playing the role of John. At school Reuben demanded he play the lead in his school's GCSE showcase and got highly praised by his teacher to continue pursing acting.

Next step college, Reuben studied Performing arts and Drama at his local college in Kent. This was the perfect platform to learn his craft and perform on stage in a variety of plays including The Wiz and Verity. In Verity Reuben opened the show with a one minute monologue, all eyes on him but Reuben nailed it.

 

After college Reuben joined the London Actor's workshop in Covent Garden and got his real taste in Theatre when he performed at the Royal Courtyard Theatre in front of a sold out audience playing the role of Mugsy in a short play called “Dealer’s choice”.

Shortly after Reuben made his television debut in an episode of Psychic Private Eyes which was filmed in South end, Essex and then went on to shoot a few scenes for a TV complex drama called “The Underground” in London Waterloo playing a Chav. The idea of Reuben’s character was taken from Little Britain and the episode aired on Channel 4.

 

Reuben has played a wide range of roles in many of the short and feature films you see on his cv. Reuben has played the Boyfriend, Undercover Agent, Thug, A hunter, Gangster, Detective, Victim, Author and many more different types of characters. His recent work was his role in The Brighton Mob out now on DVD and A reasonably good bloke which will be released on DVD in the near future.

 

Reuben has screen credits in TV, Film. Commercial, Corporate, Stage and Voice over, a versatile talented actor looking to grow within this competitive industry.
